It encompasses those who were forced to leave their origins, carrying with them the richness of their culture to their new homes all around the world. These vibrant traditions are introduced to us—through music, people, food, art, and fashion—enriching our lives and communities with diversity and beauty.

DIASPORA RADIO is a program with Radio Relativa that invites you to embark on a journey through the African diaspora in the Caribbean and Latin America. Each episode shines a spotlight on a different country, delving into not only their music but also the most iconic aspects of their culture. We celebrate their art, cuisine, traditions, and stories that traveled with them and continue to inspire us today. In addition, each episode explores the evolution of music within these countries, showcasing how cultures evolve through music. In some episodes, we will welcome guests with ties to these countries who will enlighten us about their motherland and share the unique aspects that define their heritage - offering us a deeper connection to their culture.
